Lynn Parker, a lifelong community leader, small business owner and experienced advocate for youth and addiction services, formally announced his candidacy for the 123rd State Assembly District in the 2026 election. The District is comprised of the City of Binghamton and Towns of Union and Vestal. This seat will be up for grabs for the first time in decades following the retirement of longtime incumbent Donna Lupardo.
“I’m running for State Assembly to give our community a new voice at the State Capital. I’ll fight for you and your family – working to bring down skyrocketing prices for groceries, gas and energy,” said Parker. “I’ve dedicated my career to helping others, serving as a case manager providing addiction services, keeping students safe in our local schools and running a small, hometown business with my wife.”
Parker currently serves as a Provider Relations Liaison at UHS Wilson Medical Center. Earlier in his career, Lynn spent time as a Dean of Students & Safety Coordination at Blue Ridge Central School District, a Crisis Prevention Specialist at Stillwater RTF and a Case Manager for Broome County and New Horizons where he helped make a lasting, positive change in the lives of countless individuals.
Throughout his time of public service, Lynn and his wife started a hair salon business in their hometown of Vestal where they’ve managed to employ several individuals and give back to the community – but know personally the financial hardships on small businesses throughout the Southern Tier from failed state economic policy.
“Over my decades of service, I saw firsthand the unique challenges that many in our community continue to face in our local economy, schools, neighborhoods, and those who struggle with mental health and addiction. I’m ready to take my years of experience helping those in need to make life more affordable, make our streets safer and end Albany’s ugly politics,” concluded Parker.
Parker is a Republican, a graduate of Wagner College, and lives in Vestal. The General Election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
